Meditative Spaziergänge mit Krishnamurti

Strolling Meditation in the Swiss Alps with Krishnamurti.

A nature and meditation film

Jiddu Krishnamurti, the Indian philosopher, mystic and cosmopolite held talks and discussions in Saanen in the Swiss Alps every year for more than 20 years. Between his public appearances he used to take walks nearly every day. This movie follows him on his steps into freedom without orthodoxy and compromise. In 1961, Krishnamurti spent the late summer and autumn in Saanen for the first time. After his walks he noted his perceptions and his awareness in his diary. It is extraordinary document of a journey in a pathless land. Krishnamurti said once about his walks: “When I walk, I don’t think, there is no thought. I just look … I think my solitary walks must have done something”.

All the pictures are from Saanenland, Switzerland, mostly from the valley of Lauenen and Lake Lauenen, taken in September, 2004.
